The Accessibility Center for individuals with Disabilities and/or Special Educational Needs operates as a point of reference and support, ensuring that every student at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) can participate equally in academic and campus life, with particular care for those with disabilities or special educational needs. Also, the Center cares that all student could fully develop their academic potential and actively participate in university life, within an environment of respect and inclusion.
Its mission is to ensure the equal participation of all students in the educational process and in university life.
With respect for diversity and with the aim of creating a supportive environment, the Center works to remove all kinds of barriers—physical, educational, or social—that hinder equal access to studies.
Indicatively, the Center’s actions include:
- Accessible study materials and resources
- Adjustments in exams and assessment methods
- Technical support with specialized software and equipment
- Academic and psychological counseling
- Awareness-raising initiatives on equality and inclusion
- Collaboration with external organizations for comprehensive support
By fostering respect, acceptance, and equal opportunities, the Center stands as a reference point for NTUA students and supports their active engagement in the university community.
Administrative Structure
According to the Internal Operating Regulation approved by the NTUA Senate on 18 July 2025 and published in Government Gazette No. 4119/B/29-7-2025, the NTUA Accessibility Center is administratively affiliated with the NTUA Student Affair Directorate.
It is based on a network of Academic Advisors from each School of NTUA, as well as designated administrative staff in each Secretariat, coordinated by the Accessibility Center and assisted by the Equal Access Committee.

SERVICES
In addition to the Center’s staff, the network of Academic Advisors, the Secretariat staff and the administration group, who assist in addressing the specific needs of students with disabilities and special educational needs, partial digital accessibility is provided, primarily through the assistive technologies of the NTUA Library, as well as psychosocial support through the Psychological Support Center.
