Internship is an institution of higher education and aims to link theoretical knowledge with the professional environment and the labour market. Through the Internship, students get the opportunity to apply their knowledge in real working conditions, develop skills, enhance their professional readiness and gain valuable experience. At the same time, host institutions benefit by utilizing the knowledge of young NTUA scientists and possibly identifying future partners.
Internship has been implemented at NTUA since the 1950s and is a compulsory course in some schools and optional in others. It lasts between one and two months and is carried out annually between April and October. The institution is financially supported by the NTUA’s regular budget and by European funds.
In order for students to participate in the internship programs of NTUA, registration is required in the NTUA Student Internship Information System and in the “ATLAS” system.
